Preventing Combustion, Ensuring Safety | Practical Drills Enhance Professional Skills
——Ganzhou Shengtong Electronics Launches Comprehensive Fire Safety Exercise
To thoroughly implement production safety requirements and effectively enhance employees' fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, Ganzhou Shengtong Electronics Co., Ltd. organized its 2024 annual
comprehensive fire emergency drill at Yudu County Industrial Park on November 14. The exercise involved 210 participants including Production Director Mr. Gao, safety management personnel, R&D department staff, and
frontline production workers.
At the opening ceremony, Production Director Mr. Gao emphasized in his mobilization speech that "workplace safety serves as the lifeline of enterprise development," urging all employees to leverage this drill to strengthen
the "Four Core Competencies":
Capability to identify and eliminate fire hazards
Ability to organize initial fire suppression
Skill to coordinate personnel evacuation
Capacity for fire safety education and training
During the theoretical training session, instructors from the County Fire Brigade presented real-case video analyses, systematically explaining fire causes, preventive measures, and escape techniques. Particular emphasis was
placed on addressing electronic manufacturing-specific risks such as circuit aging and equipment overheating, accompanied by live demonstrations of proper usage for ABC dry powder extinguishers and fire hoses.
The practical drill commenced with emergency alarms. Workshop employees swiftly evacuated along designated routes using the "Stay Low, Cover Mouth with Wet Cloth" technique, achieving full evacuation in 2 minutes and
36 seconds. Subsequent fire extinguishment drills saw participants practicing the "Lift-Ring-Aim-Squeeze" technique to effectively suppress simulated fires. Emergency teams demonstrated seamless coordination in hose connection and water cannon deployment exercises.
"These drills have equipped us with essential skills to control critical three-minute window emergencies," shared assembly line worker Zhang from the production department. "Specifically for precision equipment on our
production lines, we've learned to manage initial fire incidents while ensuring personal safety."
Production Director Mr. Gao concluded by reaffirming the company's commitment to its "Safety First, Prevention Foremost" philosophy. The enterprise plans to enhance its three-tier safety training system and conduct regular
hazard inspections, with imminent installation of smart smoke detectors across workshops to reinforce production safety.
This exercise successfully validated the practicality of the company's emergency protocols and strengthened interdepartmental coordination. Moving forward, Ganzhou Shengtong Electronics will deepen collaboration with fire
authorities through "Theory + Practice" and "Drills + Assessment" training models, providing robust safety guarantees for high-quality enterprise development.
