Strong skills in practical exercises to prevent potential fires and ensure safety
——Ganzhou Shengtong Electronics conducts comprehensive fire safety drills
In order to thoroughly implement safety production requirements and effectively enhance employees' awareness of fire safety and emergency response capabilities, on November 14th, Ganzhou Shengtong Electronics Co., Ltd. organized the 2024 comprehensive fire emergency drill activity in the Duxian Industrial Park. A total of 210 employees from the company's production department, including Mr. Gao, safety management department, production research and development department, and frontline production staff, participated in this drill.
At the beginning of the event, General Manager Gao of the Production Department gave a mobilization speech, emphasizing that "safety production is the lifeline of enterprise development", and requiring all employees to take this drill as an opportunity to effectively enhance the "four abilities" - the ability to check and eliminate fire hazards, the ability to organize and extinguish initial fires, the ability to organize personnel evacuation and escape, and the ability to promote fire safety education and training.
In the theoretical learning session, the instructor of the county fire brigade systematically explained the causes of fires, preventive measures, and fire escape techniques through real case videos. Focusing on the characteristics of electronic manufacturing enterprises, this article analyzes in detail the prevention points of common hidden dangers such as circuit aging and equipment overheating, and demonstrates the correct use of equipment such as ABC dry powder fire extinguishers and fire hoses on site.
With the emergency alarm sounding, the practical exercise officially began. Employees in each workshop quickly and orderly evacuated to a safe area along the designated evacuation route according to the evacuation guidelines of "bending down and covering their mouths with wet wipes", taking only 2 minutes and 36 seconds throughout the process. In the subsequent fire extinguishing practical training, participants were grouped to receive practical training on fire extinguishers, using the four step method of "lifting, pulling, grasping, and pressing" to accurately extinguish simulated fire sources. In the water firefighting drill, the emergency team proficiently completed a series of actions such as connecting water hoses and setting up water guns, demonstrating good collaborative combat capabilities.
This drill has truly mastered the emergency response essentials of the 'Golden Three Minutes', "said Xiao Zhang, an assembly workshop employee who participated in the drill." Especially for the precision equipment on our production line, we have learned how to control initial fires while ensuring personal safety
In his concluding speech, General Manager Gao of the Production Department pointed out that as an electronic manufacturing enterprise, the company will always adhere to the policy of "safety first, prevention oriented", continuously improve the three-level safety training system, regularly carry out hidden danger investigation and rectification, and will also add new intelligent smoke detection alarm devices to each workshop in the near future to effectively build a solid defense line for safety production.
This drill effectively tested the practicality of the company's emergency plan and strengthened the emergency linkage mechanism of various departments. In the future, Ganzhou Shengtong Electronics will continue to deepen its cooperation with the fire department, providing a solid security guarantee for the high-quality development of the enterprise through the normalized training mode of "theory+practice" and "drill+assessment".
